Content and production

A conversation worth hearing, prepared for release. Shape the idea, recording and edit, with audio, video and supporting clips agreed before production.

01 / Content and production

A defined episode, from preparation to delivery.

Different shows need different setups. Separate editorial preparation, recording, editing and publishing, then choose the support your programme actually needs.

Have a subject to explore, expertise to share or guests with something useful to say? Start with the listener and the reason for the episode, not the microphone count. We help define the format and conversation, then plan recording, review and delivery around your needs. Start from a new idea or bring existing recordings for a quality and rights review. Each agreement names episode count, target length, contributors, languages, versions and review rounds so the delivery is clear.

01Before the microphone
Idea, format, outline, contributor preparation and permissions.
02During the session
Sound, location and session time, plus filming and lighting for video.
03After recording
Editing, review and final files, with notes, transcripts, clips and publishing scoped.

  1. 01

    Define the programme

Identify listeners and what they should take away. Agree format, topics and presentation, and what you and your guests need to prepare.

  2. 02

    Prepare the session

Arrange the outline, equipment, location, contributors and permissions. Test sound before recording and define the camera setup for video.

  3. 03

    Review and edit

Shape the conversation, balance levels and address repairable audio issues; review picture where included. Cuts must not misrepresent the speaker.

  4. 04

    Approve and deliver

Review the cut and feedback, then deliver agreed files, descriptions, transcripts and clips. Uploading, hosting and distribution are explicit tasks, not assumed extras.

Audio, video, or help shaping the programme?

The format changes preparation and delivery. These are starting points for discussion, not fixed-price packages.

The sound is the episode.

For conversations listeners can follow without a picture. Focus on intelligibility, structure and transitions; specify any reviewed transcript or episode description.

  • Final episode in agreed formats.
  • Intro, outro and music with suitable rights.
  • Transcripts, notes and publishing where scoped.

Delivery is more than a video file.

Name what you receive, what will be published and who is responsible for each step.

01Files
Approved versions and formats, with raw-recording and project-file boundaries.
02Supporting content
Title, notes, chapters, transcript and clips in the agreed quantities and languages.
03Rights and access
Contributor permissions, music and asset licences, programme accounts and publishing access.

Delivery quality includes sound and access to the conversation.

Review the destination’s requirements rather than applying one format to every use. Specify and check transcripts or captions where needed; automated output alone is not a reviewed delivery or compliance certification.

Start with the programme idea, even before episode one.

Tell us who you want to speak to and what about. Review the idea and materials, then agree production, cost and timing before booking or recording.

  • Subject, audience, purpose and references for the conversation style.
  • Contributors, spoken language, in-person or remote recording, audio only or video.
  • Existing recordings, their quality, usage rights and contributor permissions.
  • Episode count, target length, additional clips, deadline and final approver.

Before agreement

Can I request editing only?

Yes. Review a sample first, then define the work and delivery. Heavy distortion, clipping or missing speech cannot be guaranteed a complete repair; identify limitations before starting.

Do we record in a studio or remotely?

Choose the setup around contributors, location, connection quality and filming needs. Studio facilities, equipment, session hours, travel and external bookings are specified in the proposal rather than automatically included.

Do you provide guests or a presenter?

Guest coordination, presenter selection or detailed research can be scoped if needed. No particular guest is promised, and permissions to record and publish voices and images must be confirmed.

Are short clips and transcripts included?

Specify clip count, approximate length and placements, plus any reviewed transcript, translation, captions or episode description. These are not automatic parts of an episode edit, and automated text needs checking.

Who publishes the programme and owns its accounts?

Clarify approval, uploading, hosting, distribution and RSS management if required. Your programme accounts remain under your ownership, with suitable access permissions rather than passwords posted in public messages. Platform and licensing costs are agreed separately.

How are costs and revisions defined?

By episode count, recording length, contributors, audio and video, editing complexity and deliverables. Agree review rounds and dates, distinguishing revisions from a new concept or rerecording. No reach, sponsorship or income is guaranteed.

Give the first episode a clear production plan.

Share your idea, audience, contributors and any recordings. Agree preparation, recording, editing, delivery, cost and dates before production.
